DDJ-SX2 Jog Wheel Issue
My jog wheels no longer scratch, stop or slow a track down when I touch them on decks 1 and 2. I am able to scratch, stop and slow when I play on deck 4. Now I can use the jog wheel when the song is not playing on decks 1 and 2 to move to certain points within a track, but once i hit play, i have no control. What could be causing this?

For anyone possibly having an issue with jog sensitivity on the SX2, there was an addendum / change made to the original product manual which you may not have seen (to be honest, I missed it as I had the original manual stored locally!); see page 25 of the currently available manual:
If the above change doesn't resolve your issue, please contact Pioneer DJ technical support in your region for further assistance.

If none of those work, please answer the following questions:
I have the same problem with the left jog wheel on DDJ SX2 I've bought last week.
I use PC, Windows 8.1.
When I hit the play on the first deck, I have no scratch control. Decks number 2, 3 and 4 work absolutely fine.
It's not a matter of system updates, because the left jog wheel doesn't properly function from the very beginning.
I've made firmware update for ddj sx2 to the newest 1.06 version, the ddj sx2 driver is also up to date (1.002 version).
I've checked different usb ports and cables, tried to restart the laptop - nothing helps.
Is it a warranty case?
@Aliaksandr > Because that same jog works fine for deck 4, it sounds like you simply have VINYL mode disabled. See the SX2 manual on page 11 where it says to press SHIFT + SLIP in order to toggle vinyl mode.
thanks, you are right. it was the reason.
Awesome - glad it was something simple! :)
I'm just bought a Pioneer DDJSX2 and experience my Left Jog Wheel just suddenly stop scratching when I'm going from left to right ....Sometimes I hit the cue button then it goes back to normal or just stop scratching again. I'm getting very frustrated because I only had for week and I like to scratch when I do my gig's. I tried changing different ports on my MacBook Pro , I changed the rca input wire, I tried shift + slip , even changed the recommended settings for Mac Users... I need this issue fix right away losing faith in Pioneer....P.S I see a lot of ppl is having this issue as well
@Quantay > Could you please catch that on video? It would be helpful to see what's going on to determine if it's a hardware fault or other issue.
My left jog wheel has also stopped working. Taking to West end Dj tomorrow
@Sarb > First check that you haven't disabled VINYL mode by pressing SHIFT + SLIP.
Thanks. It was the first thing I tried. Tried also restarting, changing USB cable, different software, different computers (mac and pc). Same problem on both.
Right wheel works perfectly fine in all scenarios.
I managed to capture the problem - http://youtu.be/NxyuTHGYIuI
UPDATE: The unit is now with the good folks at West End DJ to send back to Pioneer for repair. Hopefully it can be fixed and returned in good time!
Thanks for the video, I understand you've returned it but I've also asked our product team to look at the video.
Hello am using rekordbox 6 for my pioneer ddj flx6 the right Jogg wheel is working properly....but the left Jogg wheel doesn't work properly when Scratching...at first it was the right Jogg wheel when Scratching the crossfader on rekordbox 6 was moving without touching the crossfader on the controller.. I tried to reset but nothing work..this started when I upgraded from windows to macbook pro 2014 i5 8gb ram , but on windows computer Rekordbox 6 was working properly....what could be the problem ?
@Alexander > Could it be you were using an older version of rekordbox on the Mac? Or had you possibly disabled the vinyl mode on the left jog when using it with the Mac?
