Pioneer Serato DDJ sx

I purchased this product used without a power cord or i failed to maintain the power cord because i was given a box with so many cords. When i realized I didn't have the power cord i ordered one from Amazon . The system said i needed a 5v 3.5 amp if I'm correct. When I received the power cord it did nothing to light up the product. However, I purchased a power cord that was universal with an adjustable voltage. The adapter didn't have 5 volts on it but 4.5 volts . i plugged the product up on that setting and all the lights came on but then they went off leaving only a few lights on. Im hoping to get some intel on what may be my problem Thanks so much
