XDJ RX2 Microphone input for streaming
Hi guys, I've recently started live streaming on Mixcloud and had some questions about including Microphone audio into the mix. I own an XDJ RX2 - Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated
Question: If I want to microphone to be heard in my live stream, do I need to purchase a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface?
Current set-up:
- XDJ RX2 USB Link to Laptop (Rekordbox)
- Rekordbox audio (MIDI) added into OBS Studio (Sound quality is perfect)
- Only problem - no Microphone speech feeds through to stream. Refer to question above - pretty sure I need an audio interface / splitter?

Hi, as the audio is being pulled from your RX2 you can simply run a mic into either the mic 1 or 2 input. As long as the mic is switched on and volume up your listeners will be able to hear it on your stream. I use a Shure mic and i use the talk over button to lower the volume while chatting. I'd suggest having a play and record your test, that way you can see what kind of volume it needs to be set at and also what it sounds like to your listeners.
