Am i correct is saying this?

I bought the performance mode license a few years back being if i show up at a place that has a DDJ-SX i can plug in and use it (even though i use export mode with my own gear)

Now if i got to RB 6 and 6 months from now i show up at a club that has a SX, im pretty much screwed unless i quickly purchased a subscription? 

I cant just open up RB5 for the night cause the libraries are not backwards compatible

In order to use any hardware that did not ship with a license for rekordbox 5, you would need a subscription plan for rekordbox 6 in order to use that hardware in performance mode. See the list of supported hardware and features here.
