DDJ SB2 Not Connecting to Serato Programs on Mac Mojave

Hey all, wondering if anyone has any insights into this. I just had to cancel a gig because my DDJ-SB2 would not conneft to Serato. I tried DJ Pro and Lite as well—nothing. The lights turn on but there’s no communication btwn deck and program. Help!!

Working on a Mac, recently updated to Mojave.

Please try this:

  1. With the unit  connected via USB, open the System Report by click the Apple icon > About this Mac > System Report.
  2. In the left pane, click Hardware (if not already open) > USB.
  3. On the right, look for the DDJ-SB2 and click it to see if the details are provided. If so, please copy/paste or screenshot.

If the device was detected, that's good - continue to the following:

  1. Open the Audio MIDI Setup app.
  2. Open the MIDI Studio window if it's not open; Window > Show MIDI Studio.
  3. See if the DDJ-SB2 appears in the window with a solid color.
  4. If it does not appear or it appears light grey, you can try creating a new MIDI Configuration.
  5. Click the drop-down (currently showing Default in the image above) and select New Configuration...
  6. Give the new configuration a name and click OK.
  7. The connected devices will be scanned and your DDJ-SB2 should appear.
