Licensing Questions for XDJ-XZ
Hello. I have 2 license questions ...
1) Rekordbox. My XDJ-XZ came with a license key for Rekordbox. Do I need to enter this? Rekordbox seems to work fine without it. What does entering the license key do for me?
2) SeratoDJ Pro. Is it true that if I download Serato DJ Pro and connect it to the XDJ-XZ - it will automatically license DJ Pro? I don't need to buy it? (How does this work exactly ... how does it get registered, and where does the license key come from?)

Hey Tony,
No - that was for rekordbox 5 (which was the current software when that particular XZ was packaged), but rekordbox 6 now recognizes compatible devices as "hardware unlock" so it automatically activates the appropriate features of the software when your hardware is connected.
Serato works the same way; install the software, connect the hardware, play.
It doesn´t work
If it doesn't work, you're possible using the wrong versions or there is a connection issue. Please create a ticket with the support team in your region for further assistance in resolving this issue.
