Deck Failure When Using Pro-Link

I have my CDJ-900's set to deck 1 and deck 2 connected to a d-link gb switch with cat6 shielded cables (new) and macbook connected to the switch in the same manner both decks use firmware 4.32. My problem is that deck 2 regularly fails to turn on when connected and will not then turn back on for a good few hours afterwards.

Is this a Pro-Link issue or just a deck issue?

With the LINK disconnected from that player, it boots and plays properly?

I have never experienced the problem when the cable is not connected. When it last happened, I isolated the problem deck and played CD's/MP3s non stop on it for over 4 hours without any issue.

Since then, I have re-connected it into the Pro-Link setup. I seem to avoid the issue when the switch and rekordbox are running prior to powering up the decks (1 at a time, then waiting for the 'deck 1' or 'deck 2' to stop flashing).

A while back when using them in a club setup, the same deck completely froze when a DJ closed the laptop (even though the deck was playing from USB on the other deck.

I think the issue is related to the network connections when all items are powered on in a short period.

It's possible there is a short within the CDJ causing that to happen, but I would suggest you send it to Pioneer technical service for diagnosis and repair. You can find their contact information here.
