NXS2 FW 1.70 kills the search feature!

ugh I'm kicking myself for "upgrading" to this

you can see in the video I go to search for "Return of the mack" and as I am typing RET nothing is showing up, if I hit back and then hit search again now it displays just "R" with results. Its a mess, we can't search anymore on 1.7

BriChi

A few thousand on this drive. Shouldn't matter though really, was ok in 1.6 and now searching is an issue.
Can they tell us how to force a restore if we have 1,6? I have the fw but it won't let me downgrade and need it for the weekend for a bunch of parties.

Alessio Giannelli

I have the same problem with FW 1.70, with 1.6 I never had this problem

Info

the multiple search doesn't worked in my case. why also not with firmware 1.5 or 1.6.

BriChi

keep in mind that multi search is ONLY looking at the title line so if you have song title in title and artist in artist field and you are trying to multi search title and artist then it will not work

I have added all my artists to the end of my title so i can search both in multi

Info

hmm is that serious?

can you test it with these tracks

BriChi

yup, just imported them and don't even need to test, i can tell you already that only the title is searchable so in your tracks you cannot search on the cdj like

way calvin

all you can search is "my way"  if you add calvin then it will blank out to 0 being only the title column is what the CDJ is looking at

BriChi

you would need to make the 1st track look like this instead

BriChi

1.71 out today, fixes search
