SP-16 Toraiz: which audio file formats are supported?
Dear Pioneer and fellow forum participants,
I have uploaded a bunch of samples using USB Mass Storage device (laptop connected). It works like a charm !
Some files are unsupported, while browsing through them (preview ON) on Toraiz.
So, in order to prevent such faults, what are the file formats that are supported ? Are there any codec issues I should consider ?
Thanks.

hey guys,
Here is a link that gives you the supported format for the Toraiz in case you might have any questions regarding the file format.
Thanks

I ran into this too. A lot of the sample packs out there have wav files that are higher than 44.1khz (A lot of mine are 48khz).The Toraiz doesn't support anything higher than 44.1. Luckily I have dbpoweramp and converted all of the files to 44.1. Converting the files to 44.1 would be your best bet.
awesome ! thanks for your advice, I will check out that software (batch conversions, I suppose?)
How about the Loopmasters samples on their website. Are they good to go out of the box or do they vary in khz? I'm on the point of buying some packs, but I don't want to concert everything.
The Loopmasters files (installed on the Toraiz, probably a limited set) are fine, well produced and mastered. Out of the box stuff so no worries I'd say. Over time I have collected a vast library of samples and cut 'em myself. Pretty neat feature of this machine, loading and transferring files directly.
All/most of loop masters are 24 44.1 so work well.
Thanks TCO TCO.
I'd recon Pioneer would use a source that would work that kinda way, but thanks for letting me know! Would the "Full ZIP" be the best option? The Toraiz isn't a option as an serious option at the LM site at this point, but very understandable. But if it's cheaper, it's always a good thing!
Thank you again!
Yes the full zip is what I generally buy since you get loops, shots and presets that u can use for select VST. Check the sale going on now. Future Loops is another option though some are 24.48/96 and hence won't work unless you convert.
