XDJ-XZ and RMX-1000

Hello,

I have an XDJ-XZ and an RMX-1000.
Apparently, the XDJ-XZ has SEND / RETURN connectors.
How can I connect them using the SEND / RETURN connector?
For the send, it's OK but I don't see for the Return!
Thanks a lot for your help !

Regards,

Pascal.

The SEND on the XZ is intended for use with a DDJ-1000 or SP-16 for sampler use, and the return would be routed to one of the channel inputs. We don't recommend using an EFX or RMX unit with the SEND and returning it to an input channel as that would potentially create a feedback loop (if you were sending the master signal). Instead, we suggest connecting the RMX in series with the master output from the XZ to the input on the RMX, then output from the RMX to your speakers or recording device.

Hello Pulse,

This is not fun...so if I'm playing a show on the xdj I now only get the RMX effects on the master out and not the booth with this configuration :(

@Chris > Sorry, but without a send/return, there's no option to "insert" the RMX effects anywhere unless it's between an external source like a CDJ before it's connected to one of the line inputs on the XDJ.

Hi,

can we take the outs from both the XDJ-XZ and the RMX-1000 into an external mixer then from the mixer to the speakers?

would that solve the issue of the feedback loop?

This is the most frustratingly idiotic design issue with the XZ. You put a send function with no return? Seriously? Master out only? Which, BTW, takes XLR out of the picture entirely, not to mention applying effects to the entire mix rather than for, idk, transitions??. When I bought an RMX and went to connect it to my XZ, I couldn't believe my eyes. It went back within 24 hrs. Unbelievable.
