Macro Editor bug
Since I’ve gotten rekordbox DMX I’ve been playing around with the macro editor and been loving it, however I have one issue.
I have never been able to use the phrase edit “cut” or “clear” buttons, they have been permanently grayed out.

Is there something I’m doing wrong.

Try flipping over to performance mode, open the preferences, toggle these off, close prefs, open back up and re-enable them.

I'm guessing you had only one of them checked, is that correct? I'll pass this info to our rekordbox team for review.
I actually had neither of them checked (and I’m 99% sure that’s how it is by default)
