HID mode on cdjs stuck on USB MIDI (with core subscription)
I'm aware that you need the core plan to link rekordbox performance to cdjs. Last night however, I wanted to play at a party using my laptop with the cdjs (nexus 2000) and the screen got stuck on USB MIDI. I first connected the 2 cdjs with usb cables to my laptop, then booted up rekordbox and then pressed the link button. The result was a screen stuck and nothing worked, luckily I had my USB also with me. How can I fix this in the future?
Thank you.

If I recall, the process is simply to press and hold the BACK button, or press the USB button to select your USB drive to play from that source.
Hi pulse,
I used this manual from pioneer: https://cdn.rekordbox.com/files/20200312171207/rekordbox5.3.0_connection_guide_for_performance_mode_EN.pdf
(For windows: Connect usb cables, open rekordbox performance mode, press link button on cdj's, press rotary button down to connect)
And then it got stuck on this screen:
Ah -- so you weren't trying to get back to using a USB drive...
Do you have a rekordbox subscription or hardware unlock device to activate performance mode for your hardware?
I am having this same issue. Have 2 CDJ-2000 Nexus and a DJM-900 Nexus. It was working fine a few weeks ago, but now I cannot get past the 'USB MIDI' screen to select the deck. I have an active 'Core' plan.
Are the CDJs being properly detected by rekordbox? Scroll to the bottom of the Preferences > Audio page and see if they're listed under Control Device Information.
