Performance mode - THRU ?

What hardware are you using? Simply switch the input selector from PC to PHONO. Easy as that!

Yes I can do this when using a DJM but how can I do it in the software when using any other soundcard?

Can you explain what it is you're trying to do, and with which hardware?

In serato and traktor, you can play a normal vinyl just by setting the deck to the "thru mode" where the dvs is bypassed and the sound from regular vinyl is going through the aplication.
Basically the same as switching between phono and usb input on the djm but done by the software.

....because there is no way how to play a regular vinyl with lets say rane sl3 when using rekordbox dj performance dvs...

That's likely because the software is designed to be paired with one of our hardware devices, which does feature a switch to change the audio path rather than sending it to the software anyhow.

(I've asked our rekordbox team to comment on this.)

I understand that its designed to work with djm but as long as there is way how to use a 3rd party hw, it would be good to have such feature so its 100%
My friend was considering the RB but he found that he couldn't play vinyls with his AMX during sets so he had to stick with Serato what is shame...

So the official answer is that while other audio interfaces work, they are not officially supported and thus the "thru mode" option is being considered, but without any timeline for implementation, if it does get added.
