MIDI on DDJ-RZ stops working
I've had this a couple of times. The RZ MIDI just stops working properly. The buttons stop controlling rekordbox. The audio side of things works fine if I control rekordbox from the laptop. The RZ faders do work correctly, but the eq and other controls don't. The meters also work, as do the jog wheel displays. The only way to recover is to unplug the RZ and plug it in again. Restarting rekordbox doesn't fix the problem.
I'm not sure if both the USB ports have the same fault when it happens as so far it's not happened when I've had two laptops connected.

Two things, have you updated the firmware on the RZ and have you tried changing out the USB cable? These are sometimes easy fixes, if not then we will look deeper.
Firmware is latest as far as I know 1.09, pretty sure I was using the a different cable as the first time was when I first got the RZ and I hadn't unpacked the supplied cables. It's now running with the Pioneer supplied cable which is when I had the problem the second time It's unlikely to be the cable though or the faders/jog indicators wouldn't work? There are no hubs in the way of the connection, and it's connected to a motherboard USB port.
