Largest hard drive that can be used on cdj 2000 nexus2
Hi!!! I'm looking to upgrade my good old pair of cdj 800 mkii (i know , i know it's more than time) and move away from bringing my laptop everywhere.... Looking into a pair of cdj2000 nxs 2 or maybe xdj 1000 mk2... Wanted to know a few things
1- what's the largest size of external hard drive I can connect
2- must the ssd be self powered or will a portable unit work
3- is there a max # of tracks that a cdj/xdj of new gen can recognize???
Thanks bunches to all in advance!

Not sure the largest but I have a 512GB flash drive (formatted HFS+) and it works great

portable will work if you plug it into external power

I have 40K+ tracks on my drive and it reads it fine on the NXS2, Not sure about the 1000
after looking at the 1000 MK2 manual it says unlimited also so you should have no issues with the amount of files, there is a 10,000 limit per folder though, I doubt though u have 10,000 single tracks in 1 folder
Still wondering what the largest drive i can put on there... I have a brand new 5 Tb drive hanging around and was wondering if i could use it/ be recognised....
@Franz > There is no size limit.
