Rekordbox w/DDJ-SX2 waveform not matching to beatmatched songs

Updated to the most recent version of rekordbox and suddenly my waveforms no longer match in beatmatched song. The beats meet in the middle and the beats ARE matched but the waveforms use to move at the exact same speeds? Did somethingthing change?

Pulse

Which "most recent" version are you using?

djphasim

or record a video

Same thing happening to me very odd.

the wave forms seem to "wobble" even at exact BPM - Version 4.4

@DJ Denver B > That sounds a bit like a graphics drawing issue; are you using the latest drivers for your graphics chipset?

NVIDIA
Intel
AMD / ATI

Well it took me over a week to log in to this GD forum. What a mess the logins are. The best I can tell users have been complaining for 7 months about this and it is still not fixed. Its very hard to contribute if you cant login.

This is not a display driver issue unless you can point to something specific with my driver and 4.4.

I am using Mac workstation with all the latest updates. I went back to 4.3.1. and everything works great. As soon as I change to 4.4 it runs like crap.

Another user mentioned DVS. I am using DDJ-RZX and P1000 turntable with DVS enabled. Not sure if that matters.

@DJDenverb > That user was one of our support agents (Roel); did you understand the answer he provided? This is a change in the DVS functionality since 4.4.

DJDenverb

I dont understand the explanation. Even outside of that it doesnt work. If I use two channels right on the DDJ without even turning the turntable on it is all over the place.

For instance I would adjust to beatmatch and the waveforms were not lining up the same as they were in 31. Not the end of the world but what is bad it would also drift on its own. I could have exact BPM on both sides, line the tracks up and it will drift off on its own.

If I get some time I will video both versions. For now I am sticking with 4.3.1, Ibiza coming up and need stability.

Pulse

Are you certain that the tracks are analysed properly - in normal mode (for constant-tempo tracks with an electronic drum track), or dynamic mode (for live tracks where the drummer is not 100% consistent with the tempo)?

Brandon Mathis

I understand the answer Roel provided but I do not have the DVS version of rekordbox so that option is not available to me. Seems like the issue I posted about should only be happening to people that have purchased the DVS recordbox (which I have not).

Brandon Mathis

Oh snap! I actually JUST found it. Thankyou so much for the help. I'm on 4.5.0 and all is working back to how I originally learned.

Although, I was starting to get used to DVS mode. Maybe it's time to get those vinyls.
