255 Character Limit during Import is a Dog from Hell

The 255 character limit on files and folder paths during import is really a downer and makes workflow very cumbersome. It is not enough characters. Going through and finding the offending files one by one and changing them is a horrible and very time consuming process. Please consider fixing this. Every other DJ and music Library program does not have this issue. Suggesting different ways of structuring your folder system and or metadata system so they do not exceed 255 characters is not at all helpful, it's just smug and annoying. Please fix this.

Have a look at this list; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_file_systems

As you can see, practically no common filesystems support filenames longer than 255 characters. The entire idea behind metadata is that you don't need to put a lot of crap in the filename itself, but rather, have it properly stated in the correct fields in the metadata tag.

Simply put; If you rely on your filenames to sort your collection - you're doing it wrong.

@Tord: filenames, but the problem here is pathnames. Sure, 255 characters for a filename is a bit too much, but for a pathname it's no big deal. I find this kinda weird, in this day and age.
