DJM900-NXS Colour FX Filter - Mute sound when maxed out

Hi all,

I would like for the Filter on the Colour FX to mute the channel 100% and not let through any sound when turned all the way clockwise or anti clockwise.
Would you guys prefer this behaviour of the Filter and to Pioneer what are the chances of doing an firmware update on the DJM900's for this?

Sorry, while many users ask for changes like this to be made, seldom are the engineers able to incorporate these changes because as soon as we do, another user will say "Hey, how come you changed it, I liked it the way it was!"

While we appreciate the feedback, I doubt the Color FX will be changed. Sorry!

OLAH Armand. Thanks for the suggestion. We will send it to Pioneer DJ engineers

Hi Pioneer,

Still no chance for this request of mine being thought about by the engineers? I can really not see how any dj uses the filter maxed out completely with the very very high pitched frequencies still being played or the very low?

It is really frustrating because you can not Filter out a song completely, have to use two hands and drop the volume fader as well which is difficult when you need that second hand for your other channel...

@Armand > The DJM-900NXS2 Color FX feature a parameter knob that can control the resonance of the filter.  Your request has essentially been implemented.

Pulse

To further @Mark's comment; unfortunately this is something that won't be changed on the DJM900NXS mixer.

Armand

Hi Pulse and Mark, Thanks for the response. :)

I understand... fair enough just thought I'd take a chance.
No way I will be able to afford the NXS2's in the next couple of years though :/

Glad it was implemented in the newer gear and looking forward to the day I upgrade.

Regards
