Hi I have started building a library on my iMac but want to get a duplicate library transferred to my new MacBookPro. Is it possible to transfer a library to an external disk then plug and load the whole library in the same format into the new mac?

you can do a backup and restore from one to the other or use the "dropbox" method posted right at the top of the Rekordbox forums: http://forums.pioneerdj.com/entries/20118196-how-to-use-dropbox-to-synchronize-rekordbox-databases-on-multiple-computers

Thanks I've found this option now. I'll give it a go.

Does the dropbox method work well? Anyone experienced on this?

I use it strictly for backup purposes and it works perfect. If you follow the instructions, I dont see any reason why this would not work perfectly to keep the databases in sync
