rekordbox can not create the analysis file in the folder you specified in the preferences

I recently transferred my over to a new mac using migration assistant, and then updated to rekordbox 4. Now, everytime i open rekordbox, it says "rekordbox can not create the analysis file in the folder you specified in the preferences" and all my files are not found when i try to play a song. How do i fix this?

So, you are facing with 2 problems, analysis folder bad location and song files mismatch.

I guess you need to use [backup/restore Library] function in file menu of rekordbox. This function makes you move rekordbox data from old computer to new one.

Do you still have old PC/Mac?
- Before doing the following steps, I recommend you to backup files on new mac by using time machine of mac or any other backup software you prefer.
- On old PC/Mac, run rekordbox and select [Backup Library] in [File] > Library. I guess you do not need to backup songs because you may have already copied them.
- Backup library file is created.
- On new PC/Mac, run rekordbox and select the backup library file.
- The message [can not create the analysis] will disappear. If not, let us know.
- The songs should be matched manually by following steps.

  1. Click [File] -> [Display All Missing Files] to show Missing File Manager.
  2. If all of the tracks are not selected, press Ctrl/Command + A to select all.
  3. See the location of the first track (displayed on the title bar of the window) and click [Relocate].
  4. Find and click the exact location of the track in the Explorer, and click [Open].
  5. Missing File Manager will open and ask you if you want to find other songs automatically. Click [Yes].
  6. All tracks will be relocated to the file path of their location.
