XDJ-RX link with rekordbox on laptop
I have updated firmware on the XJD-RX to the latest version (1.6.0)
and I'm running Rekordbox 3.3.0 with drivers installed. I have tried to disable wireless and connect through the link cable directly from XDJ-RX to laptop. I have tried reconnecting, turning on and off in different patterns, connect whiile off, connect while on. Nothing seems to work.
I do not get the "Link" option to pop up in down left corner of Rekordbox.
What to do? I need to be able to access files from laptop because I often have to load music wishes on the fly that are not loaded into any USB stick.

hmm never had that problem...... what kind of computer do you have? also might sound silly but have you tried a different ethernet cable? Also herd that firewall settings can give ya issues...
I have tried it with the brand new cable included in the XDJ box.
Anyway it cannot be like this. I use a plain HP laptop. I have read about firewalls, turn off Wi-fi and so on, but when I play I need to be online as well. How is the unit communicating? What ports to be opened for the rekordbox software to function properly through firewall??

No, not solved yet. Still waiting for an answer or news about some update that make connection easier
