Connecting 1/4" mixer output to RMX RCA input
I'm trying to figure out the least cable intense solution to connect my RMX 1000 to various mixers. Some have RCA send / return, Pioneer has 1/4" TRS and sometimes the master output is the only way to go. My question is if it is ok to connect the TRS send / return on the mixer to the RCA input on the RMX using adaptors and RCA cables. It should be no problem since the RMX is unbalanced but I am not sure if the output levels are different from RCA to TRS. If that solution is ok most situation would only require 2 RCA cables and 4 TRS to RCA adaptors, pretty portable.

avoid adapters as they can pick up interference/hummm from the equipment if it's not grounded. Even if grounded you'll still get a hiss/humm/buzz
Best to get ready made RCA-TRS cables as in one end is TRS the other end is RCA... I personally like the TRS-TRS connection between the 900nexus & RMX, it's really the same signal /quality if you use the RMX's RCA inputs- just avoid adapters & u should be alright
Thats really clever, a RCA-TRS cable is the solution to almost all connection scenarios. From a TRS send / return on the mixer it connects to RCA on the RMX and vice versa. Two double cables and I'm sorted, thanks maDJam!
Here's a picture just in case... get 2 of these (should be about $5-10 each, the higher quality the better) :)
