external hard drive does not show up + Activation key
Hi,
I have a mac book pro mid 2012, o.s. el capitán + ddj-sz + rkbx 4.06
Since the very begining my external hard drive was not shown
in the explorer tree.
What can i do to see it.
On the other hand, it happened by now 3 (three) times when i open the rkbx 4 that i have to insert the activation key. What do im doing wrong?
Thank you!
Thank you.

This has been an issue since day 1, rather than provide the workaround I provided, rekordbox seem to want to just let people struggle.
im sure they're working on it, but if you search through this thread you'll find a post of mine on how to fix it (a solution that works, but it doesn't fix the issue rb has)
failing that, google how to create a symlink on Mac of your hdd replacing the original music folder :)
Hi Rob,
Many thanks for your effort and kind attitude. However i should wait till pioneer finds a solution, as i'm afraid to lose/break all my other softwares database.....
Really appreciate your help.
@Roberto > External drives can be shown without any additional kludging or work-arounds, it just depends on the configuration of the drive and the mode of rekordbox. Can you provide a bit more detail?
As for the license needing to be re-entered, have you verified that your user has permission to write to the rekordbox folder? I would suggest you try repairing the permissions via the First Aid tool in the Disk Utility application (found under Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility).
