Problems with Rekordbox DJ and OS X El Capitan compatibility.
How long is this fix going to take? Macbook Pro is the industry standard and there always seems to be some issue with compatibility. A bit of a head scratcher!

When a new operating system is released, many changes can take place that affect software and hardware compatibility. Some manufacturers choose not to test and verify their products until the final release of the operating system due to possible changes between beta / "golden master" or release candidate versions of the operating system. Pioneer elects not to verify their products until the final release, and it can take some time to fully verify and certify their software, drivers and hardware compatibility. As such, they don't recommend you update unless it is absolutely necessary.

That's some funny corporate-speak "Some manufacturers choose not to test ... until the final release"... specifically, the ones that don't that software engineering seriously." Indeed, specifically, the ones with poor software engineering practices.
For those finding this topic looking for an answer, yes, rekordbox is compatible with El Capitan.
