DDJ 1000 Factory Reset
The USB cable got bumped while we were updating the firmware and now its just going into update mode.
This happened to us one time with a CDJ2000NXS2 and my tech knew the button combination for a factory reset. But we don't know it for this unit.
What is the factory reset for the DDJ 1000?

@Walt > Unfortunately there is no "reset" as you might think of it - the factory reset procedure on the DDJ-1000 only returns the settings to their default values.
The recommended procedure to recover from a failed firmware update is to power-cycle the DDJ, then attempt the update again.
great thanks... i had to let it sit unpowered for a long time ... the first three times i power cycled it... i didnt wait long enough.
for those of you that use this thread for reference ... leave the controller off with no power supply for like 60 seconds.
it actually never powered back to normal operating mode... but after i power cycled it the last time... the firmware update software saw the unit and finished the firmware update.
@Walt - How long did u leave it to unpowered?
I'm having this same problem. A single red light at the master volume is blinking. How can I reset it to stop the board from thinking that it is updating. I've turned it off and then back on. Is there another way to power cycle the controller that I'm Missing?
@Jason > That indicates a power issue - please contact a Pioneer DJ authorized service centre in your region to have your hardware inspected and/or repaired.
@Jason - try this.
Hold the SLIP REVERSE & 4 BEAT LOOP/ EXIT buttons on the left deck while powering on the controller. Then try updating the firmware again on ur laptop.
i JUST unboxed and set up the update i got the red blinking light of death after the update stopped and told me to reconnect to port A but i hadnt reconnected once
Como puedo hacer restablecimiento de fábrica del controlador
@Davon > Just try it again.
@Luis > There is no "factory reset" - what are you having troubles with?
@Pulse
I'm a lil confused on what u're calling no factory reset in this context cause I had the same exact problem highlighted in this post and the power cycle procedure did not help. The only solution I found was what I mention in my previous comment of holding down those 2 buttons when turning the controller on.
@Shabba > There is no such thing as a "factory reset" (which often rolls back or reverts a firmware), the process you describe is to "restore defaults" for the settings, however the majority of issues that users have are not resolved simply by changing the settings.
I just bought recently a Pioner DJ Model DDJ1000 and I have laptop in model Mac book pro (i5)...I installed Record box on it.everything are ok up to wana work on my new dj.after some minutes the sound Discounted. Dispite everything are ok and music still working the sound gets disconnect suddenly. So first I must turn off and on the machine controller again and again. To restart the sound or turn on and off the program of record box.so what's your suggestion to solve this problem. Its very important to me .kindly reply as soon as possible.
@bijan > Sorry to hear about that - the issue is likely the 4.0 drivers as some users have reported problems. Please file a support ticket with the team in your region here and we can help you roll back to version 3.
