DJM-900NXS2 driver issue with rekordbox 4.2.1 64bit
Hi,
here is an Observation I did with the new rekordbox 4.2.1 64bit.
1st of all rekordbox seem to be good and stable if I am using it with my onboard soundcard or my NI Audio4DJ USB Interface.
However using rekordbox with the DJM-900NXS2 Driver (either with the beta v9.1.0 or the 1.000 coming with the rekordbox Installation) the Audio sometimes stuck or gets slow. This continues until a complete freeze of Audio. Once frozen when trying to load a new file, it doesn't even load. A rekordbox restart is required to get out of it.
I was playing around with ASIO buffer but doesn't really help.
I need to do some testing with the 32bit Version and 4.1.2 to see if this makes a difference.
I guess with updating Windows 10 with the newly released Anniversary Update it become even worst.
Anyone experience a similar behaviour?
Right now it isn't much an issue as I don't perform with rekordbox but it is some sort of anoying.

Ok - here are some new Facts on this!!
My current setup is to connect the DJM-900NXS2 with a pretty Long USB cable which got a USB repeater as a standard cable wasn't long enough and couldn't have a stable connection.
To check if this is a USB Connection issue I used my Surface Pro 4 and connected it to the DJM-900NXS2 with the USB cable which came with the unit.
This time the Audio flow via the soundcard of the DJM is stable and fluent.
Therefore I can confirm that for my issue it isn't a Driver nor a rekordbox issue. It is an USB issue.
As I can't move my main PC nearer to the DJM I need to check several other options before. Like using a different USB port, using a powered USB hub or trying another USB repeater to see if this helps.
Any other recommendations? Any suggestions on long USB cables that would work? The lengh I would need is a minimum of 7m.
Thanks
Frank
Here is another Status.
I changed the USB Port to a USB3 Port, still using the same USB Repeater cable. Now it seem to work even that the movement of the waveform in rekordbox seem to stutter a bit. The Sound seem to be fine. I need more testing to see if this could be my final solution.
Alternatively I would try a powered USB Hub or a different USB Repeater. Found a good one (potentially) offered by Thomann.
I'll keep you updated in case it is interesting for others.
Frank
