DJM S9 record audio from mixer to GoPro

Just wandering if someone can help.
I'm trying to record the sound output from my mixer directly to my GoPro Hero3+.
I have a 3.5mm mic adapter for the GoPro, and so far I have tried the Booth and Master 2 output. But none of these work?
When I connect it directly to the Booth the sound is crackly but it tells me i'm getting some signal. I've tried adjusting the Booth level and it only really gets the crackly signal up on the Max level
I basically don't want to have to record separately on the GoPro and audio in Serato Rec then have to line them up in Win Film editor etc

The MIC input to the GoPro is exactly that - mic level. If you give it LINE level, it will be all distorted and would sound awful because the line level audio is going through a microphone amplifier circuit. Sorry, but without some kind of signal pad, you'll have to come up with another solution.
