Saving settings when updating Rekordbox version

Good day

I have just updated to Rekordbox Version 5.7 and noticed that all my PREFERENCES (MAC) have not been saved. I have not really noticed this before as all my previous updates have followed a format and reinstall of OS as I am still relatively new to Rekordbox.

Please advise how I save my settings before updating, luckily this was my backup laptop and not my main gig laptop so I am a bit hesitant now to update my gig laptop. 

Also, how do I export these settings from my gig laptop so that I dont have to redo every single setting and sampler configuration on my backup laptop ?
