.4 / - 8 Beat (loop cutter) ends a running loop instead of cutting it

When I play my XDJ-XZ in link mode, the loop cutter doesn't cut but ends the running loop. This is not happening in standalone mode.

i saw this happen on a friends XZ last month too. she was unaware as she uses auto loop, where as Im a manual looper and caught this right away. threw me off
