Beat gridding on the fly
I know you can adjust the beat grid live with the NXS2 CDJs, but if I used them with rekordbox DJ in Performance mode, would I be able to beat grid on the fly like when using the DDJ-1000?
With the DDJ-1000 you can hear the metronome and see the red grid marker on screen so you are able to hear and see to fine tune the beat grid.
Would this be possible with the NXS2 CDJs, but using the rotary knob instead?

The CDJ doesn't have the capacity to generate a metronome tone, so if that's what you're asking ... no.
I mean to hear it through the software & headphones, and grid using CDJ.
In rekordbox? Yeah! Just enter the grid edit mode and click the metronome icon.
So, I would be able to hear the metronome through my headphones and adjust the beat grid with the rotary knob of the CDJ?
Only possible in Performance mode though, right?
Only in performance mode, yes, you would hear the metronome only in the headphones, no, you can't adjust the grid using the knob.
Ahh, this is what I didn’t want to hear.
It would be good if you could use the rotary knob to adjust the grid while in performance mode like you can in export mode.
So I can only adjust the grid using the CDJs only in export mode and if in performance mode it will have no effect?
