Overmodulation-DJM

Hi, am using CDJ 350s and a DJM 350, trying to mix live using Rekordbox analyzed tracks loaded on to USB sticks. The sound that comes through is very fuzzy and not clear at all, and turning the knobs does not work. Could this be overmodulation?

Also, is it possible the sound is not clear because the DJM 350 is not Rekordbox compatible?
