You could use an 8TB drive if you wanted. Who told you 32GB is the max? That's only a limit for SD cards.
I have found that you can use USB sticks larger than 32GB for the Nexus models. I switched from the CDJ 2000 non-Nexus to the CDJ 2000 Nexus for this very reason, as I wanted to keep my entire collection on a single USB. For the Nexus', I purchased SanDisk SDCZ880-256G-G46 Extreme PRO 256GB USB 3.1 Solid State Flash Drive, which work great. I have also found that they work for the non-Nexus 2000's.
One thing I am wondering is if there is a degradation in sound quality in using some of the larger USB drives.
Thats good to know ! I would think you will not lose any sound quality with bigger drives may b unless they were Mp3 files but this i am unsure
I have just purchased the Xdj rx2 - Thought i would give it a whirl just mainly to move more over to record box and usb
