PLX 500 unstable pitch

Have two pioneer PLX 500's. One is dead on the money pitch wise, the other seems to waver quite a bit on the strobe when set to center. Makes it hard to lock two records together. No service centers even remotely close to me. Any way I can reset the pitch myself? Is this something a local tech that works on turntables could do?
