DDJ SB connection to a USB C

i purchased a new laptop that has only USB C connection and i have a DDJ SB with the original cable USB B to USB A

is there a cable that i can use for the conversion or does a simple adapter work for this?

You can get a hub, allowing you a wider use of that single port, but USB C to B cables are available.

so this link which shows a usb b to usb c would allow full connectivity of my ddjsb? with no major issues?

Rolando Rivas

also any hubs you would recommend?

Pulse

I wouldn't expect any issues when running a compliant USB C-to-B cable.

Rolando Rivas

i have a hub that came with my laptop that allows usb A but the connectivity does not work well

Pulse

Your mileage will vary with cheap hubs; I'm a fan of ANKER brand products, they're solid and perform very well.

Rolando Rivas

i got the connection you suggested and still no connectivity any other recommendations

Pulse

Did the SB power-up at all?

Rolando Rivas

yes it fully powers on but laptop states connectivity doesn't work well

also the serato program says connection may take up to one minute but after multiple plug ins and waiting for multiple minutes the hardware still will not connect to my laptop

Pulse

Sorry, can you clarify what you mean by "laptop states connectivity doesn't work well" -- do you get an error message, if so, can you please post a screen shot of it?

And have you updated the firmware and tried uninstalling / reinstalling the drivers?

Rolando Rivas

picture above is just the new cable usb c- usb b

and it only show that and still will not load up both decks on screen

controller has power and somewhat functional as in pressing and highlighting some buttons but no results on screeen

this second photo shows when i try to use the usb c- usb b cable through the hub that came with the laptop

again power to controller but no communication between software and hardware.

updated firmware and the drivers
