DDJ-RR Trouble with tempo resetting and tempo slider

Hi,

I have used a Traktor, and when using a Traktor if you turn the Sync button off then the track playing will immediately return to it's original tempo.
does the pioneer DDJ-RR have a similar function?

Also sometimes the tempo slider does not work. It seems as though it freezes so you need to jiggle it a lot (which naturally messes with the song hugely) and then it will finally register that you are trying to change the tempo.
