Pads and sequencer

Trying to get better idea without chance to have my hands on.
Manual (1.3) says
'You can set a MIDI NOTE to output when pressing pads of a MIDI track OR triggered by a sequence.'
I wonder about OR. Is it XOR?
I mean, can you output midi note with pad while sequence is running?
Same question for audio track
If sequence runs, does pad also play sample?

Yes you can press pads and play midi notes and samples while the sequencer is running. Or means OR.
The really big feature is extensive step modulation. Every step of the sequencer can have a subtle or extreme change to the sound.
