xdj rx sort by genre
In any future updates fro the xdj are there any plans to be able to sort tunes by genre?

You mean like this?
It's easy, just connect your USB device and open rekordbox:
Click the device in the list on the left, click the Sort tab, then click Genre and click the --> arrow to add it to the right. Eject the drive and you'll have the sort menu on the XDJ-RX.
