XDJ RX - Multiple users and licenses?
Hello
I'm doing a gig in a venue where they have a XDJ RX.
I have rekordbox installed on my Mac and I want to export my music to a USB stick (with cue points saved, etc) and plug it into the XDJ RX.
I do NOT want to have to take my laptop with me to the gig.
I am a bit confused as to the position with licenses (none of the previous threads seem to answer this exact question), but will I be able to use my USB even if I don't have a rekordbox license?
My sense is that the XDJ RX allows unlimited users to connect a rekordbox-prepared USB stick. Where a license would be required would be if you were using the XDJ RX as a *controller* for rekordbox on a laptop (rather than using the XDJ RX as a "stand alone" piece of kit), is that right?
Thanks so much!
Simon
PS - apologies I referred to the XDJ as DDJ in earlier version of this post!

The only time a license is required is to use rekordbox in performance mode, which is available with the dj plus-pack. That would be where the hardware is used as a controller for the software (or without, if that floats your boat).
Anyone can download rekordbox and use it for free to manage and prepare their music collection, link it to a player or export rekordbox-prepared music to a USB device.
