Pitch bend sticks in MIDI

I'm using a fresh install of 4.4.0 beta, and I've assigned Deck 1's pitch bend- to a controller via the MIDI learn function.  When I press my newly assigned button on the controller, the pitch dives down like I expect it to, but when I let the button go, it stays there.  If I assign pitch bend+ to a different button, it sticks at the high pitch.   

In addition, there is no correspondence between the bent pitch and the BPM number.

Please ask your techs to provide the midi message required for momentary pitch bend from a controller.
