Level meter in rekordbox is completely full all the time

When I boot up recordbox in performance mode and click the record panel open for some reason the level indicator is completely full....

both bars are full and no mater what input I select they stay that way.
Also when I start playing and record it does record but I still can't see the correct levels.
The bars stay full.

Do you guys have any idea what is going on?

I have the latest version of it on my mac.
os is still capitain.
