Unable to change mixer mode to External DDJ RB

I am unable to change mixer mode from Internal to External for DDJ RB.

I think because of the above reason I am also unable to use FX features on my DDJ RB as it causes sound to be distorted while using any FX such as PHASE,FLANGER etc. Kindly help.
