Problem with XDJ-700 waveform

Sometimes, when I load a new track, both waveforms (small and zoomed) are completely white. I can not fix the problem, even if I load a new track. The only solution is to reset the player.

Did the engineers say anything?

Sorry - meant to get back to you on this issue; they've looked at the database but do require access to the full music export. If you'd like to re-host those files on your FTP server, you can email me the credentials for login and they can download it from there for testing.

József Szita

I have sent the e-mail! I would like to ask you feedback when you received it.

Pulse

@Jozsef > Sorry for the delay on responding to you regarding this issue -- are you still experiencing this problem with your XDJ-700?

József Szita

I experienced it for a while. There has been no error lately. If I did, I wouldn't know what to do, because the warranty period has expired.

Pulse

Our engineers believed it to be an issue with the export library data rather than the unit itself; if it happens again, please let us know.

József Szita

I haven't experienced it on another player. Same with the pendrive and SSD. There was no change. It wasn't reformatted.

József Szita

There was a problem again. Another SSD, another music. There is always the problem with the same player. Another player is flawless!

I want solution!

Does that only happen on the linked player?

József Szita

The problem always occurs on the same player. No matter where I connect the USB stick.

Luca Costanzo

Hello, was there a solution to this problem? Because I have exactly the same problem with my xdj700. Only with one of my two XDJs (always the same one) and no matter which USB stick, this error comes out of nowhere every 2 weeks. Meanwhile, the XDJ can still be operated and the error disappears after restarting.
Because I was going to contact the dealer I bought them from on Monday. Thanks!

@Luca > Please try using a different USB drive; format the drive to FAT32 or HFS+ (Mac) and export the songs again. Ensure the firmware on the player is up-to-date as well.

Is there any news on that issue? I am experiencing the exact same trouble on my XDJ 700 - havent been able to resolve this by reformatting/changing sticks, so i am still forced to restart a player eventually during a gig. After a while of countinuing to play "blind" when encountering that anoying bug, the music stops playing at all. I'd be more than happy to have this finally fixed!

Edit - Firmware is up-to-date,  following sticks used (formatted to FAT 32 with 32 kb cluster-size using Partiton-Master):

Samsung MUF-256BE3/EU BAR Plus 256 GB Typ-A USB 3.1
SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0 256GB

@Jan > It's entirely possible that the XDJ is having problems reading your drives.

Pioneer DJ does not guarantee 100% compatibility with any USB drive. Functionality of one drive does not guarantee functionality of another identical make / model drive. Manufacturers are known to change the memory controller chip per availability or cost, and as a result, there is always a chance that a drive may not be compatible with the player host chipset. Recommendations or the results of another user may not be the same for you and your drive.
