DJM900 Nexus vs DJM900 Nexus 2

For those of you who have upgraded, was it worth it and what are the main benefits for you?

Looked in the Product-Specs... No more TRAKTOR Scratch - Support on Nexus2?

First thing I noticed was the sound quality (using digital audio cables & playing 320 kbs MP3's)

Other reasons;

  1. Dedicated FX Frequency buttons (like how the DJM 2000nexus had) - great for keeping FX in the background ontop of a track without it sounding horrible - just deactivate the Low - sounds great when used right!
  2. Parameter knob and Color FX knobs - both used with each other from a 7 o'clock to a 5 o'clock position giving greater control & output for FX.
  3. The new X-Pad is much easier to use and read.
  4. It looks better in the middle of my CDJ 2000nxs2's :)

Thanks DJ S-TYPE, I went ahead a got the full NXS2 set-up, which was a major upgrade for me and my first Pioneer Pro level kit.

Very impressed and agree with all your comments, parameter knob particularly useful and the x-pad is great too.

Excellent sound quality, also using digital cables and mostly lossless ALAC files.
