Hi,

Just a wild question, would it be at all conceivable to upgrade a broken CDJ 900 display with a new display panel part for a CDJ 900 NXS - with some modifications?

No. That would be like putting the LCD of a retina MacBook Pro on your old MacBook and expecting the processor to be faster as well. Doesn't work that way, sorry.
