Nope - Mavericks is old and well tested now.

Did you mean Yosemite? No, solid. As for your next question (El Cap), as that version is unreleased to the public, Pioneer has not yet begun certifying the drivers and software so performance is not guaranteed with 10.11 yet.

El Capitain is Mac OS X 10.11, just as Yosemite is 10.10 and Mavericks was 10.9.
