CDJ 2000 NXS update request

Sorry, I'm just a forum moderator.  I don't have any input as to what features are made available via update to older models.  I will relay your thoughts to the product team.

I'm thinking it "can be" done in software but would require a pretty big update to the player for color pallets and what not, I doubt the memory at this point can probably handle a new, big update. I would love to hear what Pioneer has to say though, I would love to use the color markers but right now they are totally useless being it doesn't reflect on the player

You CAN use the colours for categorizing and organizing your music, and you can have it set for either a category or sort option on your device.

right Pulse, we are talking about the color coding of cue points, not the tracks themselves

Ah - missed the "cue markers." I'm sure that's future expansion.

i just actually discovered this inside rekordbox and i was stoked! i've been fiddling around for the last hour trying to get the memory cue colors to show on the CDJ's but no luck. not really sure what the point of being able to change the colors inside rekordbox but not the CDJ itself. i updated the CDJ's but no luck. hopefully this will be an option sooner than later. It would definitely be a great tool.

Along with cue point comments, I really hope this happens in a future update.

This update would be great.  Agreed that it is basically a pointless option to have in rekordbox if the colors are not reflected on the CDJ

Not true.  It is useful with any rekordbox compatible controller with RGB pads as well as the CDJ-2000NXS2.

Is it not true that this would be easy to implement on the CDJ 2000NXS mk1s with a firmware update? I'm happy to purchase new hardware when necessary, but when an incremental feature can be easily implemented on existing hardware by Pioneer and Pioneer chooses not to do it, I think I speak for all customers when I say that is very disappointing. The same applies with respect to the new phase meter on the CDJ 2000NXS mk2s. Come on guys...
