Please Help with Soundcard! Cdj400

Hi all,

I have 2x CDJ 400 and an xone 22 mixer, with tractor pro 2. All is working fine, but the audio comes out of my computer instead of the mixer. Do I need an audio interface? Can someone link me to one? Will the behringer uca222 work - that's in my price range.

Someone please let me know ASAP

Cheers

@Kiran > You can set the 400's as soundcards for your computer; if you're using a Mac, you create an aggregate device.  If you're using a PC, you need ASIO4ALL and then Traktor will be able to see your CDJs as audio outputs.  Do a bit of Googling and browsing YouTube, there are lots of vids.  If you need more info, let us know.

Hi there, thanks for the reply. When I installed traktor, it set up my CDJ's fine. I already have them set as an aggregate device, but when I go to output settings there is no option for my mixer

Cheers

Nor should there be; you have one output for each player which is connected to the mixer's inputs.

This is where I'm confused, as the sound is playing through my laptop speakers, not my mixer..

Then you haven't done something correctly...

CDJ: USB to the computer, RCA to the mixer

Mixer: RCAs from the CDJs into a channel, master output to ... wherever (speakers?)

Traktor: External mixer mode, soundcard set for CDJ400's

All the leads etc are in the right place.

In Traktor, Audio Device - Built In (HID CDJ400)

Output: Output L / Output R, no option for cdj400

Pulse

That's not correct -- it shouldn't say "Built In (HID CDJ400)".  When you created your aggregate device, what did you name it?  It should appear on the list.
