[SOLVED] Problems fitting XLR & Booth 1/4 headphone jack while in Pioneer DDJ-SX flight case

Hello All

I just recieved my new Pioneer DDJ-SX flight case made for the DDJ-SX controller only to find i'm having trouble connecting my XLR cables & Booth 1/4 headphone jack in the back while in the case there is room at the back but doesn't seem to be enough any suggestions ???

Thanks Dean

BriChi

can you just use right angle cables? maybe mount a XLR plate on the back of the case and run the cables to the SX so you don't have to touch the back of the controller anymore, when setting up just plug the XLR's for the speakers into your case

Dean

I think i could do that with the Booth 1/4 headphone jack use a right angle not sure what you mean for the XLR's though mount a XLR plate on the back ?

I messaged Pioneer on facebook they said that they can fit but its a squeeze but i don't see the XLR cables i'm using fitting at all GRRRR

have asked them what cables they are using not got a reply yet

I attached a pic of what I am talking about with the XLR mounts, on this case i have 2 xlr plates mounted, 1 for booth and 1 for main so I never have to get to the back of the mixer and it's less wear and tear on the actual mixer ports

Dean

Great thanks ill check the pic out makes sense to do that

Dean

I still find it weird that the flight case it fitted for the SX yet i can't seem to fit all the cords to play the SX while in the flight case which is what i bought the case for in the first place at it has a nice laptop stand with it hmmm

@Dean > It also comes down to different cable types too - some have an extended shield at the tips which extends the output length and may make the sitting that more tight. You could try removing some of the foam if that would help or try different cables.
