Live Input Effects - Traktor with DJM-T1

Hi all,

I am having some trouble doing something and I am sure I am missing a fairly obvious point.

I am trying to get the traktor effects to work on a Live Input (so normal vinyl) with my DJM-T1. 

Its not happening, the effects are on and everything but dont change the sound in any way. Do I need to change routing / or internal/external mode or something?

maybe this new update helps in some way?

Im a but lost as to what this whole post / pre fader effects business is.
