Cdj 2000s with traktor

Hi,

I have 2 cdjs 2000 connected to my traktor(dim 800 as mixer) and I am wondering if its possible for me to have control over

the traktor effects without a sound card? If not, how do I set up a komplete audio 6 with both my cdjs, my computer and possibly a

traktor X1 controller?

Thank you.

@Flavio > It's not the sound card you need to use Traktor effects, it's a controller to use with the Traktor effects. If you had an X1 you could control the Traktor effects with that. But personally, I wouldn't bother because you have superior Sound Color Effects and Beat Effects on the DJM-800 alone.

You don't need an Audio 6 unless you want to use Time Code with Traktor. You can alternately use the USB outputs on the CDJ-2000's and assign them to directly control the Traktor Decks and simply remove the Audio 6 and time code from your setup. Even if you really feel you need the X1, you still don't need the Audio 6.

You could use the MIDI output from the mixer to control effects, provided you have a channel you aren't running audio through because the controls are all audio-first.  In other words, if you have audio going through channel 4 and you have the ch4 MID knob assigned to some effect parameter, the audio would have its mid-range affected when you turn that knob. Even though it's sending MIDI, it's still an audio control.
